Wredenhagen's most important sight in the region Müritz is the castle. The castle is mentioned official in document for the first time in 1284, but parts of the structure
were built much earlier.

The masters of Werle, were the castle's first owners. Due to bailments, the owners changed constantly.

In 1436, the Werlesche House died, just its estates fell to the dukes of Mecklenburg.
