A so called witches cellar and underground dungeons, is connected with the traditions with the witch hunts of 16th and 17th-century.

The old castle is situated in the centre of Penzlin, a car-park is right in front of the castle.

The knights' hall with remnants of decorative ceiling paintings from the 19th-century is well worth seeing. The knights' hall is open for romantic couple to get married.

Inside the witches cellar you'll find an extensive collection of torture instruments. The dungeon, one storey below can also be seen.
